When the vintage is right, and it was in 2007, then these Plantagenet shirazes are some of the finest you will find anywhere in Australia. This is right up there with the finest yet from this historic producer. Warm savoury spicy aromas create a compelling complex bouquet. Beautiful savoury and ever so slightly earthy palate with ripe tannins, perfectly worked oak and sumptuous fruit. Great cellaring potential. 96/100
